The only English speaking improvisation theatre troupe in Paris

Mark was a founding member of the Improfessionals in 2001. The troupe was formed through a desire to provide English speaking improvisation to the Parisian public. The troupe is a rich mix of improvisation actors from all over the world (England, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Denmark and America). Each actor brings his/her improvisation culture thus creating a troupe with a unique combination of skills and experience.

Over the years Mark has directed and acted in a wide variety of improvised shows with the Improfessionals. Together they have played short form impro caberet, long form storytelling, Gorilla theatre, improvised musicals and mask improvisation to name a few.

Recently Mark created a show called "Coffee" with the Improfessionals. Coffee develops improvised character work, mixing longform improvisation techniques with those of trance mask. The resulting show is an exploration in sincerity and the stories of everyday people encountered in a coffee bar.

In 2010 Mark and the Improfessionals produced the first ever official regular "Micetro" in French. Micetro is a licensed impro show format created by Keith Johnstone in the 1990's. The Improfessionals own the license for producing the show in Paris. Micetro has had huge success elsewhere in the world and now, thanks to the Improfessionals, the French public is able to discover this unique impro show.
