PRESENTATION

Mark first started improvising at the age of 13 during his theatre class at school in England. He continued his improvisation studies at school until the age of 18 and experimented with improvisation in many different shows. He graduated from the University College of Ripon and York where with a degree in "Theatre, film and television". Whilst never ceasing to explore improvisation he also acted and directed in numerous classic theatre productions too, expanding his stage experience.

On leaving University Mark began work as a professional actor and put his improvisation skills to work in theatre and workshops. In 1996 he moved to Paris and continued his career.

In 2001 he was one of the founding members of the Improfessionals, the only English speaking impro troupe in Paris. With the Improfessionals Mark has explored a wide range of improvisation techniques and styles: Cabaret, Longform, Gorilla, Micetro, Improvised Musicals, Trance Mask, Theatresports, Catch Impro, Match d'impro.

Mark has worked with many international improvisation teachers and he has participated in international improvisation festivals all over Europe such as Wurzberg, Leuven, Amsterdam and London.
